Located on Mir Emad Street in Tehran, this five-story office building is organized above two underground parking levels. The spatial arrangement of the project is driven by environmental performance and the quality of the workplace experience.
To maximize daylight penetration, the building’s vertical circulation core—including the staircase and elevators—is positioned along the northern edge of the site, where access to natural light is least critical. Adjacent to this core, a central courtyard is introduced, bringing daylight deep into the building and allowing natural illumination to reach the middle zones of the office floors. This strategy reduces the dependence on fully glazed façades while enhancing privacy and visual comfort within the workspaces.
The formal concept of the project emerges from a composition of stacked volumes. Each volume accommodates a specific office function, such as executive offices, management suites, or meeting rooms. These interlocking boxes not only generate the architectural form of the building but also express its internal program on the exterior. The gaps and shifts created between the volumes form openings, terraces, and recessed spaces that shape the building’s façade and contribute to its distinctive architectural identity.
Through this interplay of light, privacy, program, and form, the project creates an abstract yet expressive office building that reflects its internal organization while responding thoughtfully to the urban context.
