Kish Concert Hall is a multifunctional complex composed of three main programs: a concert hall, a food court, and a museum. The design strategy was based on creating a simple and pure cubic volume while concentrating spatial complexity within a defined area of the project. This approach allowed the building to become both iconic and visually engaging, while keeping construction costs relatively efficient and controlled.
The concert hall is located on the ground floor, while the food court is positioned on the upper level. The museum volume is formed through a series of sloped tunnels and ramps that connect the ground floor to the upper floor, creating a continuous spatial experience throughout the building. Positioned prominently along the main façade, the museum not only shapes the overall architectural identity of the project but also generates dynamic open ramps that guide visitors from the concert hall balconies toward the surrounding views and outdoor atmosphere.
The interaction between these circulation paths and the main public spaces creates a layered and fluid architectural experience, where movement itself becomes part of the project’s identity. Rather than separating the functions into isolated zones, the design encourages visual and spatial connections between the concert hall, museum, and food court, enhancing the sense of activity and public engagement throughout the complex.
Although all three programs are interconnected and designed to complement one another, they are also organized in a way that allows each function to operate independently when needed. This flexibility improves the usability of the complex and enables different events and activities to take place simultaneously without interference.
